Hotel Reports
- Exterior - The building is a 21-floor high-rise which is connected to the "stadthalle, one of the largest conference centres of the area. Though not exactly attractive, the building is nonetheless imposing due to its size.
- General -
- Lobby - The lobby is very large with a long reception desk, seating areas with heavy leather couches and chairs and lots of pot plants.
- Location - The Mercure hotel enjoys a very central location right in the city centre of Chemnitz.
- Restaurant - The hotel has two restaurants. The more formal one has dark wood furniture with green upholstering while the "brasserie" has light wood chairs with an upholstering in pastel colours. This restaurant is more informal, very large and lacks an atmosphere. *hotel not visited - report based on brochure* 11/08/98
- Rooms - The medium sized bedrooms are very pleasantly decorated with a dark carpet, light wood furniture and plain white walls. The bathrooms are quite small, but both they and the bedrooms are in good condition.
