Hotel Reports
- Exterior - The hotel itself has more style and character than the Meriadeck centre. It stands alone on a main boulevard, and although quite stark, it is has a certain flair dating back some years.
- General - ap0802
- Lobby - The medium sized lobby could be a bit brighter to be really welcoming, but its contemporary decor and discrete seating areas give a distinguished air. Towards the rear, close to the bar area, there is a large atrium skylight which cheers things up. This hotel is definitely one where frivolity takes second place to tarditional grandeur.
- Location - This property is located adjacent to the Meriadeck Centre, a central complex which was the brainchild of urban developers in the late 60's/early 70's. Whilst not everyone's idea of architectural excellence, the area has a certain character and is safe. It is a short walk into the old town and the cultural/viticultural areas of Bordeaux.
- Restaurant - The restaurant is located on the ground floor at reception level and once again gives an air of exclusivity.
- Rooms - The rooms are contemporary in style, and are visually impressive as any to be found in Bordeaux. Maybe they could be seen as a little disappointing after the atmosphere created by the lobby, although the standards of comfort and the facilities are definitely superior.
