- Exterior - The hotel is an attractive building in a striking modern design.
- General - This is a good standard hotel, simple but attractively designed on both the inside and outside. Various conference and leisure facilities - top floor saunas and jacuzzi with vew to the saimaa lake. 12 jul 99
- Lobby - The lobby is small but attractive with marble floor, green and brown, little waterfountain and small lobbybar. Playroom for children.
- Location - The Scandic Patria hotel is situated in the centre of Lappeenranta, just a short walk from the waterfront and city centre shops and attractions.
- Restaurant - Two restaurants, the breakfast and carte restaurant is with wood, navy feeling and red/orange colours. Dance restaurant regata with roof windows, dark red and cherry wood.
- Rooms - Medium size, half with own door or balcony and a view to saimaa lake. Nicely decorated with light checked patterns, cherry wood, light purle, white. Good condition, maybe a little worn. Bathrooms are small and white, also in good condition.
