- Exterior - The hotel was origianally a Georgian house and is traditional in style.

- Lobby - The lobby is medium in size and has comfortable chairs and tables set out for guests.
- Location - Hotel is located 5 minutes from the city centre overlooking York's racecourse and the Knavesmire Parkland.
- Restaurant - The atrium restaurant is situated in the centre of the hotel. It has a glass roof and hanging flowers to provide a bright and airy atmosphere in which to enjoy all meals. There is a further restaurant adjacent to the atrium where guests can dine in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the hotel gardens and racecourse beyond.
- Rooms - All rooms have full facilities. They are of a large size and decorated to a high standard in bright pastel colours.
