- Exterior - A traditional manor house, set in its own 118-acre estate. The hotel boasts an 18-hole golf course, which surrounds the property and has the River Ure running through it.
- General - A beautiful manor house in stunning countryside, the hotel is a peaceful and grandiose haven ideal as a base for York and all its attractions. The golf course and spa featuring swimmimg pool, spa tub, steam room, gym and health and beauty treatments make the hotel a very attractive short break destination.(ML 12/02)

- Location - Situated 10 miles from York city centre and within easy reach of the A1(M), the hotel is hiden away in the North Yorkshire countryside.
- Restaurant - The restaurant has 2 AA rosetted for the quality of the food and serves international cuisine in a formal atmosphere.
- Rooms - The rooms are all very traditional in decor, whther in the main house or modern extension.
