Exterior - Traditional hotel, originally built in 1640, although a modern conservatory and bedroom block extension has been built at the back. The hotel also has very spacious gardens for guests to relax in during the summer.
General - This is an excellent choice of hotel for guests wishing to stay in a comfortable traditional property in the centre of town. Donna taylor august 1998
Lobby - Public areas have been fairly recently refurbished. They are very bright and spacious. Lobby area is small.
Location - Is situated in the centre of town.
Restaurant - Hotel has one restaurant which is very bright and spacious.
Rooms - They are medium in size and in good decor. The bedrooms consist of 53 in the modern section of the building and 20 in the original building. All rooms have bath and shower, television and hospitality tray. Most of the rooms in the new wing have been completely refubished but there are still some in the old wing to be done. The style of decor in the bedrooms is very cottage like.
