Hotel Reports
- Exterior - This is a very traditional hotel, the building dating back as far as 1618. Located on the street, the brick building has a small porch at the entrance with Golden Lion statue, (the symbol of the hotel) above the entrance.
- General - The hotel has 2 lounges (the tudor and Lions bar) providing a wide range of drinks and bar meals, both of which have log fires which as with the restaurant are lit during the colder months of november to february. August 98
- Lobby - The lobby is traditionally furnished, carpeted with small seating area.
- Location - The lion hotel is situated just outside shrewsbury town centre and is easily accessible via the nearby road networks from the south, east, north and west.
- Restaurant - The shires restaurant is traditionally furnished with chandeliers and log fire (lit during the winter months). Guests can enjoy the chefs specialities. A non-smoking restaurant for the comfort of guests.
- Rooms - The rooms vary in size and are kept in good condition along with the Bathrooms. The hotel has 58 rooms and one suite all of which are en-suite with radio, colour television, telephone, trouser press and hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities, and also baby listening facilities are available. All are comfortably furnished and oak beams are a traditional feature.
