Exterior - This hotel is an attractive traditional building dating back to the 17th century, to the times when priests sought sanctuary in the hotel's secret staircases and priest holes.
General - In 1723 the writer jonathan swift took room 52 during the writing of his famous epic 'gullivers travels'.02/01.
Lobby - The lobby is medium in size and have wood panelling on the walls and wooden beams on the ceiling. There are comfy chairs that can seat around 20 guests, there is also a large fire place which gives it that homely feel.
Location - The hotel is situated in the heart of Banbury right opposite the famous "Banbury Cross".
Restaurant - The garden restaurant is a beautiful oak-panelled room with beamed ceiling. Guests can enjoy the fine English cuisine including the famous local speciality, banbury beef.
