- Exterior - The hotel is a traditional red and white brick building.
- General - This is a very good quality hotel, with an unbeatable location. Ideal for those looking to be in the very heart of Theatreland and within a short stroll of Soho, Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. (MJ/11/02)
- Lobby - A narrow entrance leads to the small lobby area for guest check in and general enquiries. Comfortable seating is available in the guest lounge, upstairs.
- Location - The Shaftesbury hotel is located in the heart of London's West End, with bus stops directly in front of the hotel. Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus within a few minutes walk.
- Restaurant - The small breakfast room is fairly simply decorated but is very welcoming.
- Rooms - The small to medium sized bedrooms are in very good condition, with high quality, subtle furnishings. The bathrooms are again in very good condition.
