Hotel Reports
- Exterior - The facade of the hotel is a good example of ornate red brick Victorian renaissance architecture.
- General - One of London's oldest purpose built hotels, it is ideal for all types of travellers, the lobby being of particular interest. (0201DT)
- Lobby - The medium sized lobby area with its main marbled staircase, ornate coved ceiling and gold detailing creates an air of historical elegance and is a great focal point of the hotel.
- Location - The hotel is situated in the heart of Bloomsbury, opposite Russell Square underground station with its excellent connections to all parts of London. It is within walking distance of the British Museum, and many of London's top theatres. It is also close to Covent Garden and Oxford Street.
- Restaurant - The main restaurant is a fabulous feature of the hotel being a large airy room with a wealth of period features. The hotel also has a smaller, more attractive, bistro-style restaurant with a polished wood floor and subdued lighting.
- Rooms - On average the rooms are medium sized and are in fair condition, though some have been recently renovated. Their decor is fairly plain, they are comfortable and the Bathrooms are also in good condition.
