Exterior - This is a traditional brick building, which is farmhouse in design. The hotel dates back to the 16th century with the original buildings being erected in 1403.
General - Guests can relax in the lounge bar or the historic pub. Due to the date the hotel was built, the bedrooms vary in different shapes and sizes. (02/01 MJ)
Lobby - The lobby is very small and is carpeted and has dark wood furniture. There is no reception and guests check-in at a desk.
Location - The hotel is opposite the Westgate of the city. Canterbury is well placed for the M2 and M20 for London and the Channel Tunnel.
Restaurant - The restaurant overlooks the courtyard and offers guests a variety of dishes with wines to match.
Rooms - The rooms vary in size and are kept in good condition as are the bathrooms. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, hairdryer, trouser press, direct-dial telephone, colour television with Sky channels, radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms are comfortably furnished with dark wood furniture.
