Exterior - The hotel is traditional and was originally a farmhouse. A long red brick building with attractive gardens.
General - The Cromwell hotel was originally owned by sir john thurlow, who was master spy and secretary to oliver Cromwell. A quaint hotel, ideal for groups or fit. - not visited - august 1998
Lobby - The lobby is quite small but extremely welcoming and gives an excellent first impression of the hotel.
Location - The cromwell houtel is situated in the centre of the old town of stevenage, in the high street, close to the shops and leisure facilities. Motorway networks and the railway Stations are close by.
Restaurant - In the thurloe restaurant a variety of dishes are available including International cuisine. There is plenty of Space round each table.
Rooms - The rooms are medium in size and are kept in good condition along with the Bathrooms. All 56 rooms are en-suite with full facilities. There are several 4 poster bedrooms available. The decor includes floral patterns and attractive fringed curtains.
