Hotel Reports
- Exterior - The hotel is an elegant Georgian Manor House and for centuries was the home of the Earls of Verulam and laterly the Mountbattens.
- General - The hotels public areas are very elegant with plants, sofas and oil paintings. The hotel also has a library with well stocked bookcases. The country club has a large swimming pool, with a bridge going across it. There is also a gym, sauna,jacuzzi, solarium and beauty therapy treatments are available. The hotel is also near to Veralum golf course. August 1998
- Lobby - The lobby area is small in size and is plain and functional - it however leads into the more comfortable and traditonal public areas.
- Location - This hotel is situated in 12 acres of land just outside St Albans city centre. It looks out over unspoilt countryside.
- Restaurant - The restaurant is very elegant and serves fine dining a la carte meals. The brasserie is modern and informal and serves lighter meals.
- Rooms - The bedrooms are superbly appointed and are decorated in soft pastel colours and elegant dark woods. The marble bathrooms are medium in size.
