- General - This hotel is set in its own 34 acres of Parkland, including lake and many fine specimen trees. It is a Country House hotel dating from the 16th century offering guests a peaceful location just 12 miles from the centre of London. The lobby and public areas are very elegant and restful with antiques, log fires and fine ceilings. The bedrooms are all individually decorated with en-suite Bathrooms and full facilities. All rooms have delightful rural views. The restuarant was completely re-furbished and re-designed in 1987 in soft, warmcolourings and rare 19th century prints and atmospheric lighting. 19th january 1995
