- Exterior - Very traditionally English and charming building dominated by the distinctive thatched roof.
- General - A traditional hotel with 'olde worlde' charm set in a peaceful retreat. Ideal for touring Winchester, Bournemouth and the South-west.
- Lobby - The lobby is small and traditional.
- Location - The hotel is situated in the village of Ampfield, just outside Romsey, a few minutes drive from Winchester. It is easily accessible from the M3.
- Restaurant - The hotel has a restaurant and snacks are available from the bar.
- Rooms - All rooms have been recently renovated and are in very good condition. The decor is tasteful and traditional throughout.
