- Exterior - This is a forte heritage hotel, very traditional in design.
- General - There is also a relaxed and friendly bar for guests to drink in. Hotel not seen aug 1998
- Lobby - Not seen
- Location - This hotel is siuated in the centre of Alton and is superbly located for explorinig the new forest and winchester.
- Restaurant - The restaurant offers an excellent fixed price menu. For a less formal meal or snack there is the buttery.
- Rooms - The bedrooms are very traditional in design and have full facilities.
