Hotel Reports
- Exterior - Built in 1465 the hotel retains its original design of an old coaching inn. The exterior has a traditional tudor design (as does the interior).
- General - General the hotel has its own lounge and "tudor room" available for conferences, meetings, lunches and dinners. All necessary audio-visual equipment is provided.
- Lobby - The lobby is very small, carpeted and is tudor in design with beams etc, in feel with the rest of the hotel.
- Location - Location the Red Lion hotel is situated in the centre of Colchester and is less than an hour from London by train.
- Restaurant - The "alice Miller" restaurant is set in an old banqueting hall, and provides freshly prepared local fayre. The restaurant is open for breakfast or a mid morning snack and guests can choose from a la carte and table d'hote menus.
- Rooms - The rooms are medium in size and are kept in good condition along with the Bathrooms. Many of the 24 bedrooms have antique furniture and have retained their original features. Bedrooms have private facilties, radio, colour tv, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities.
