- General - This hotel stands in 187 acres of Parkland in between East Grinstead and haywards heath. It is a traditional 19th century hotel which was built in 1867.Inside the public areas are very gothic in style. The bedrooms have all been refurbished to a very high standard and offer full facilities. The restaurant offers teh highest standard of cuisine and fine wines, and offers views over the lake and immaculate gardens. Thers is also squash courts, nine hole pitch and putt golf course, croquet and a bowling green. This is a beautiful hotel with a warm, relaxing ambience. 11th january 1993
