- Exterior - It is a traditional building
- General - There is an extensive leisure centre which has a small bistro attached where guests can get meals during the day. April 1998
- Lobby - The lobby area is quite small and the decor is dark wood panelling. It is very cosy with comfortable arm chairs and log fires. There is a sweeping staircase which leads up to the first floor.
- Location - The hotel is situated in the heart of the southern lake district on lake windermere.
- Restaurant - There is one restaurant which offers views over the lake district.
- Rooms - All of the rooms are of a medium size and are of a good condition.
