- Exterior - This is a traditional, white-washed building with an English inn feel.
- General - With its access to the Lake District National Park, and boasting a 14 metre indoor swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room, gym, badminton, table tennis, snooker and lawn tennis facilities, the hotel is an excellent alternative to the busier towns of the South Lakes.(02/01 MJ)
- Lobby - The lobby is small and traditional.
- Location - Overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake in the north Lake District, the hotel has an impressive location. It is 20 miles from Carlisle, off Junction 40 of the M6.
- Restaurant - The restaurant offers a more formal set and a la carte menu, whilst the hotel's bar serves light snacks in a relaxed setting.
- Rooms - The rooms are comfortable and furnished in traditional decor.
