- Exterior - This is a traditional white washed Georgian Country House.
- General - The hotel has extensive leisure facilities. The hotel's main selling point is its beautiful gardens and tranquil ambience. Malcolm lindop august 1998
- Lobby - The lobby is small with no seating areas.
- Location - The Penmere Manor hotel is situated in a quiet residential area, just outside city centre.
- Restaurant - Bolitho's restaurant serves locally caught seafood and is informal in style.
- Rooms - Rooms are small and kept in fair condition along with Bathrooms. There are 2 types of room - garden rooms are the most luxurious and have either king/queen sized beds, lounge complete with writing desk and mini bar. Standard rooms are basic in style, fabrics and furnishings.
