- Exterior - The hotel is a colonial hacienda built in 1790. Originally the building was a textile workshop, employing at one time 1000 local weavers and spinners. Fabrics were exported to the USA in the late 1800's.
- General - This is a traditional, quality hotel with an historical background. (04/01 DM)
- Lobby - The lobby is large and spacious with polished floors. Antique furniture and plants decorate the lobby.
- Location - The hotel is situated at the base of Imbabura Volcano, just off the Panamerican Highway. It is 5 kilometres of the world famous Otavalo Market and only 2 hours from Quito.
- Restaurant - The restaurant serves local cuisine.
- Rooms - The rooms are decorated in traditional furnishings with fireplaces.
