- Exterior - A 33-storey tall grey color building with large private garden at entrance of hotel.
- General -
- Lobby - Elegant marble floor lobby, grand and spacious that can hold 3 groups checking in at the same time.
- Location - Located in the heart of the city, on the grounds of the former French Club. It is some 14 kilometre away from the Hong Qiao Airport, with shopping centre and government offices nearby.
- Restaurant - The Bai Yu Lan Chinese restaurant. Yamazato Japanese restaurant. The Continental Room for European and French cuisine. The Rose Coffee Shop for snacks.The main Bar Ye Lai Xiang. Oasis, the Cocktail Lounge with daily cassic music performance and the Continental Bar overlooking the ever changing skyline of Shanghai.
- Rooms - Total 500 rooms, very spacious with 29 square metre to 36 square metre for single and twin room. Renovation underway, expected to complete end of 2000. All rooms well-appointed, cosy and warm.
