- Exterior - It is a mid-rise, victoria-style building dating from 1930, and its elegant landmark carefully restored to its original grandeur.
- General - This is a completely renovated landmark hotel with an excellent location which suits both business and leisure travelers. (0902:FZ)
- Lobby - The lobby is large in size, elegantly appointed with marbled floors and spacious sitting areas.
- Location - The hotel is located in downtown Halifax, overlooking the Halifax Harbour and the Cornwallis Park. It is within walking distance to the business core, shopping, attractions, entertainment, pubs and restaurants. The hotel is also connected to the train station.
- Restaurant - The hotel features one of the best restaurants in the city which serves a very diverse menu including local seafood, steaks, chicken, pasta, and vegetarian specialties, all prepared with the chef's unique flair. There is also another restaurant, a cafe and a lounge located on-site.
- Rooms - The rooms are large in size, tastefully appointed with European style furnishings, green coloured carpeting and matching curtains.
