- Lobby - There is a grand entrance to the Empress, and the lobby is elegant and classical.
- Location - The hotel is situated downtown, overlooking Inner Harbor & adjacent to Conference Center, 1.6 km from the train station, and 27 km from Victoria Internationl Airport.
- Restaurant - Empress Dining Room serves continental/Pacific Northwest cuisine for dinner. Kipling's offers all day buffet. Bengal Lounge opens from lunch through midnight. Afternoon Tea offers famous teas and sandwiches from 12:30- 5pm.
- Rooms - Fairmont Room- Sleeps four adults in existing bedding.Fairmont Deluxe- Sleeps four adults in existing bedding (slightly larger room size than Fairmont Room).Victoria Premier- Sleeps two adults. Guaranteed harbor view.
