- Exterior - It is a contemporary hotel (1984) with imposing 20-story tower, renovated in 1997, and another $50 million dollar expansion of renovations to be completed June 2000.
- General - The Westin Bayshore is the only resort hotel in Vancouver. Taken from brochure. Oct 99.
- Lobby - Surrounding the stone fire place, the lobby features ceiling to floor windows offering expansive views of mountains, harbor, city skyline and the new Seawall-a scenic walking connecting Stanley Park and Convention Centre.
- Location - The Westin Bayshore is situated on the water, just minutes from Robson Street and historic Gastown, 3 kms from train station and 28.8 kms from the airport.
- Restaurant - Garden Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch,a new menu created by award winning chefs highlights local specialties. Trader Vic's Bistro features creative Polynesian cuisine and magnificent views of harbor. Garden Lounge overlooks the outdoor pool and garden, and features relaxing entertainment nightly.
- Rooms - All rooms are furnished in a style in keeping with the fabulous resort setting including dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows with sliding glass doors.
