Hotel Reports
- Exterior - 7 storey, cream building built in mid 1980's, with a new part completed in 2001.
- General - A great combination of Resort & beach with convenient access to the city. Very pleasant atmosphere, many good cafes and restaurants nearby, and entertainment at weekends. A pleasant spot to be during winter and summer, as Sydney winters are not cold and one could sit on the beach throughout the year. VU1001.
- Lobby - The hotel lobby is very large & bright, with some seating. Coffee shop is to the right of the main entrance.
- Location - Hotel overlooks magnificent Manly beach, a few minutes walk to the Corso (shops & cafes), and a few minutes walk to the ferry to the city (a very pleasant way of seeing Sydney from the water). 20 minutes by ferry & 30 minutes by car to the Sydney city centre. Manly has a very resort atmosphere, with much happening at weekends.
- Restaurant - Brasserie off the lobby, with windows floor to ceiling, opened on fine day (most days in Sydney) & overlooking the beach accross the road. There is also a bar with a separate entrance to hotel & used by locals as well as hotel guests.
- Rooms - The room size is large, with TV, Internet access by TV and dataport, tea/coffee facilities, iron and hairdryer. Room quality is reasonable and bathrooms would benefit from renovation. Resort style in keeping with location.
