Hotel Reports
- Exterior - This is a modern high rise tower rising out of the majestic sandstone Treasury Building, dating back to 1851, the old part showcasing charm and grace.
- General - This is a deluxe hotel with a lot of character, blending beautifully modern conveniences with the traditional and historic Convict days' architecture. Great views of Sydney can be enjoyed from many upgraded rooms (see harbour view display). VU0702..
- Lobby - The hotel has a medium sized lobby with a separate group entrance. It has an old world character which is in keeping with historical nature of the hotel. The reception area is located in one corner, with the Cortile a three tiered sandstone and marble courtyard as the hotel's central meeting place - serving drinks, afterrnoon teas etc. Cortile also features a restored lift which serves as a centrepiece.
- Location - Perfectly positioned beside Circular Quay and the Botanic Gardens, boasting great views of Sydney. Many of city's attractions are a short stroll away - the famous Sydney Opera House, as well as the original Convict built part 'the Rocks'. Shopping is within walking distance.
- Restaurant - The hotel has a 41st floor restaurant which provides magnificent views of Sydney. Coffee shop is on the first floor (Cafe Opera), Pasta bar (ground floor) and a Cigar Divan (smoking room).
- Rooms - The hotel has large rooms which are well appointed with modern conveniences. They are traditional Australiana style. Rooms are in a good condition, each with hairdryer, iron and ironing board, bathrobes, mini bars, tea/coffee makers.
