- Exterior - A sixties four storey hotel.
- General - The Canberra Rex is ideally located for individuals and groups and is a well priced superior tourist hotel. The hotel has had a colourful & interesting past as it has been host to a variety of celebrities and royal guests.VU0900 / CB 0602.
- Lobby - Situated on street level, just inside the main entrance. The lobby is medium in size.
- Location - Hotel is located 1km from the city centre and is within walking distance to the Canberra Centre Shopping Complex. It is only a short drive to many of Canberra's tourist attractions, such as the new & old Parliament Houses, the War Memorial, the National Library & Gallery and a number of award winning restaurants.
- Restaurant - Millie's A -La-Carte restaurant is located just past the foyer and the Pooldeck Restaurant is open for lunches & family dinners.
- Rooms - Relatively compact in size, however tastefully decorated and well equipped.
