General Description
Nestled in the heart of Cap-É-l`Aigle, a hillside village overlooking the St-Lawrence River, Auberge des Peupliers is one of the oldest guesthouses in Charlevoix region. This stately guesthouse has 22 rooms, each one reminiscent of those found in convivial boarding houses of days past. Guestrooms feature full bathrooms, bathrobes, hairdryers, tea and coffee makers, cable and satellite television and have either one queen bed or queen bed with sofa bed that can accommodate up to quad occupancy based on sharing existing beds. The Auberge`s cuisine is both traditional and daring with the house foie gras, from ducks raised locally, being a time tested favourite of the patrons. A cheery lounge allows guests to curl up by the fire, challenge a friend to chess or relax with the piano. There are many scenic locations to ski -cross-country or Alpine, dog sled or snowmobile. Hotel activities also include tennis, badminton, and croquet as well as a fully equipped games room.There is also a spa and sauna and massage facilities. |
