More of an institution than a mere hotel, this is certainly one of the best hotels in Reykjavik. Opened back in 1930, this hotel has a very high reputation. With its central location, good service and excellent product, success is sure to continue for this famous property. RY1004

Located in Reykjavik's central square across from the Cathedral and House of Parliament, this hotel could not be any more central. With the main shopping street just around the corner, Reykjavik is on your doorstep. Keflavik International Airport is a 45 minute drive.

Property Information

A traditional grey 6 storey building and a very fine piece of architecture. With archways along the ground at the exterior, this cream building stands proudly on the main square.

Dining Facilities

Guests have use of two restaurants; the cafe which is extremely popular with locals and has a lively atmosphere most of the day and evening; and the main restaurant, which offers a more formal dining experience in a luxurious traditional setting.
