Surrounding Area

The hotel is located on the opposite bank of the River Neckar from the Old Town and castle, in a quiet and very exclusive residential area. The Old Town is just 10 minutes' walk away, over the historic bridge. The view from the hotel is just spectacular and the famous 'Philosopher`s way' is just 5 mins on the same side of the river banks.

The hotel has a charming, homely facade. It is a very old building, made of dark grey stone and covered in beautiful flowering plants.

The restaurants are located on the ground floor and are lovely rustically styled rooms with a warm, welcoming ambience. Both restaurant, the 'Le gourmet' and the 'Mensurenstube' are particularly well-known in Heidelberg and Germany not only for its exceptional cuisine, but for having one of the most varied and exclusive wine and champagne lists.
