The Old England was fomally a georgian residence which is situated on the shores of Lake Windermere at Bowness Bay. This location not only gives the hotel the advantage of breathtaking views over windermere and the mountains beyond, but is easily accessible by public transport and is only 18 miles from the M6. The majority of our bedrooms enjoy spectacular views across Bowness Bay and are en-suite, with bath and shower, have television, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone. Our Vinand Restaurant offers comfort, style and due to popular request is non-smoking. Our chef prepares her own menus offering the very best English Fayre, which can be enjoyed at your leisure whilst taking in the beauty of the Lake District. There is private parking a short distance from the hotel and is free of charge to the hotels guests. |
