Location the Red Lion hotel is situated in the centre of Colchester and is less than an hour from London by train and within very easy reach of Stanstead Airport.
Property Information
Built in 1465 the hotel retains its original design of an old coaching inn. The exterior has a traditional tudor design (as does the interior). It is one of the oldest Inns in East Anglia.

The restaurant is set in an old banqueting hall, and provides freshly prepared local fayre. The restaurant is open for breakfast or a mid morning snack and guests can choose from a la carte and table d'hote menus.

The lobby is very small, carpeted and is tudor in design with beams etc, in feel with the rest of the hotel.
