Located on Kramat Lane, the hotel is just within 50 meters off Orchard Road. Within the immediate vicinity is the Istana or the Presidential Palace and the Le Meridien and Grand Central Hotels. The popular shopping mall, Centrepoint is within 5 minutes walk.

The hotel faces the exit of the underground portion of a main highway, the Central Expressway (CTE). Beyond the CTE is the green grounds of the Istana. The hotel building is smaller in size being only six stories high and in white. The design is of the 70s genre.

The lobby is small with beige marble flooring. It looks a little tired and could use a little more lighting. Scattered seating is available. The reception counter faces the main doors and the 2 lifts are facing the counter. The lifts are tiny for today's standards.
