General Description

A decent hotel that provides easy access to the river and the activities along the river. Although a little dated in design, it makes up for it by good upkeep. AC06/04

Surrounding Area

Located on River Valley Road and just across the road from the Singapore River. Within walking distance are the quay projects along the river of Robertson Quay, Clarke Quay and a little further, Boat Quay. The quays have been revived with restaurant, shops and entertainment. Also just across the road is Mohd Sultan Road which is the epicentre of nightlife and late night pubbing.

The hotel is one in a cluster of hotels in the River Valley junction. The hotel is white and very rectangular is design. The building is instantly identified by the huge sign in red on the rooftop with the hotel name.

There is a coffee house on the lobby level serving local and some western cuisine.

The lobby is large and bright with lot of exterior light from full length windows. The flooring is done in marble with some pillars. The coffee house is to the left and the check in counter is straight ahead from the entrance.
