The Mount Nelson which has often been called 'the best hotel in Africa' is situated close to the city centre in its own private and tranquil grounds away from the traffic or rush found in the centre of Capetown with views over the surrounding mountain areas.

Property Information

The hotel boasts extensive grounds and the long palm tree laden driveway towards the hotel is testament to this. It is a pink coloured historical building dating back to 1899.

In keeping with the rest of the hotel the lobby is traditional colonial in decor with a separate reception and concierge area both in dark wood. The walls are sand colour typical of traditional South African hotels. It also incorporates a large lounge area adorned with an abundance of antique furniture hanging glass chandeliers, local flora & fireplace.
