General Description

This world famous lodge is sited in the heart of the dense lichen hung forest of the Aberdare National Park's Salient. It overlooks two waterholes and magnificent snowy peaks of Mount Kenya.

Property Information

The famous hotel started life in 1932 as a two room tree house. By 1952 it had expanded to a four room construction and weldcomed its most famous visitor, the young girl who climed the tree as Princess Elizabeth and descended as Queen Elizabaeth 11. The hotel now has 50 rooms and heads the list for many a visitor of all the safari lodges and hotels.
